Reprobation

Reprobation
   (lat. = Verwerfung, Ablehnung), ein Begriff der Gnadenlehre . In kath. Gnadensystemenwird es für möglich gehalten, daß Gott, wenn er ein endgültiges Nein der geschöpflichen Freiheit voraussieht, diese Kreatur ”verwirft“, d. h. ihre ewige Verdammnis bewirkt. Es würde sich hier um eine positive, unbedingte, aber dem vorausgesehenen geschöpflichen Nein ”nachfolgende“ Verwerfung oder R. handeln. Eine positive, unbedingte, aber der kreatürlichen Schuld logisch vorausgehende R. würde das geschöpfliche Nein erst bewirken; die Annahme einer solchen Bewirkung des Bösen durch Gott u. damit einer negativen apriorischen Prädestination wird von der kath. Theologie als häretisch abgelehnt.
